Uniform
Our students take pride in wearing the red blazer which is synonymous with Chilton. Uniforms can be purchased from the onsite Uniform Shop or our online store.
Uniform Shop Opening Hours
During term time the Uniform Shop is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2.00pm – 4.30pm. Opening hours during the school holidays are advised via the Weekly Bulletin.
Facilities
Our Lower Hutt campus is on Waterloo Road surrounded by beautiful trees and gardens that provide a backdrop for the 103 year old main building that our founder Geraldine FitzGerald provided. Our girls study in light airy classrooms, with spaces that lend themselves to creative thought and motivated learning.
With our own netball, tennis courts and swimming pool, we offer weekly Physical Education classes with a specialist teacher. We use our large sports ground for a range of exciting group activities. A new covered astroturf area allows for all weather activities.
All Middle and Senior School rooms are specialist classrooms, reflecting passion for each subject.
Bring your own device
Computer use is no longer limited to IT labs and is integrated into all subjects and classrooms. The School provides pods of ipads for use by Preschool through to Year 4. These are managed by the school and are incorporated into the curriculum providing opportunities to expand knowledge and introduce new learning experiences. For Years 4 to 13 the preferred device is a laptop computer. Laptops should have a minimum of 8gb RAM, 128gb storage, wireless network, screens need to be 1260px or wider and at least six hours battery life.
