With 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Phil brings a wealth of knowledge about the ever-evolving landscape of AI, Security, and End User Compute technology across the Asia-Pacific region. His passion lies in bridging the gap between technology and sustainability. Currently, part of Dell’s CTO Ambassador program, where he focuses on driving sustainable and social innovation in tech. Specifically, looking at initiatives related to power efficiency, carbon reduction, tree planting, and STEM. Beyond the boardroom, Phil is hard to miss as the “NZ Bumblebee” connecting with community groups around Wellington. Phil appreciates the vibrant Chilton culture and environment, as well as some of the incredible opportunities available to students, including the Arts, Music, and Chilton Ballet Academy.

Ross is an experienced marketing strategist and planner. Ross has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Victoria University. He earned his stripes with Clemenger BBDO and then developed his skills further working for a number of large multi-national organisations including ExxonMobil, Mitsubishi Motors, Origin Energy, Contact Energy and Red Cross. Ross is now a co-owner of Wellington based advertising agency Scratch Design.

Sara is a Chilton old girl and a doctoral candidate in the Faculty of Education at Victoria University of Wellington. Sara is a trained primary teacher and experienced mindfulness and Yoga teacher who leads Seedling Yoga for Schools, a curriculum aligned wellbeing program that teaches mental, physical, and emotional health through the Indian science of Yoga.

Sara believes holistic wellbeing is the root of effective and meaningful education and is currently researching the impact increased self-awareness can have on teachers’ thoughts and behaviour in (and outside) the primary classroom. 

Liz trained, and worked, as a Registered Nurse at Hutt Hospital. After some years of nursing she worked at the Hutt City Council as the Swim City Manager. She is now retired and spends considerable time volunteering, in many different areas, for St James Church.

Some years ago Liz served on the Chilton Board for 6 years. She has now returned to the Board as the Bishop’s representative. As the Bishop’s representative on the Chilton Board she has a desire to see the Christian aspect of school life maintained and strengthened.

She is also a Trustee on the St James Trust Board and the Suzanne Duncan Educational Trust. The Suzanne Duncan Trust offers scholarships to assist parishioners’ girls to attend Chilton from Year 7.

A Chilton Old Girl, Liz’s three daughters also attended Chilton. When her daughters were at Chilton she managed the senior water polo team and taught all levels of Lifesaving for 10 years.

Two granddaughters are also Chilton girls- one leaving, at the end of Year 13, in 2000 and one presently in Year 13. In the context of the wider family, the current Year 13 student is the 9^th to attend Chilton Saint James.

Jimmy brings a depth of commercial, financial and M&A expertise to the Board. He has evaluated, advised and led a number of large investments over the past decade in New Zealand and overseas across the education, energy, mining, food, telecommunications and aviation sectors. Outside Chilton, he is the Chief Strategy and Investment Officer of Tuaropaki Trust and is an active supporter of a number of local technology startups.

Before relocating to New Zealand in the late 90s, Jimmy lived in Thailand and China. He is happily married and the proud father of two young daughters.
