Chilton Clinches First at STEMM Challenge 2021
Last week saw the much anticipated Student STEMM Challenge take place. 32 students from Year 5 through to Year 13 took part in teams of four. The juniors and seniors participated in 5 rounds of Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Technology and a Practical Science round. All teams played a fierce game but special mention must go to:
Year 10 Team: Jessica Park, Kaylyn Wang, Katherine Wang and Megan Wong.
They came 2nd out of 34 teams, narrowly missing out on the top spot by one point.
Year 13 Team: Rachel Chiu, Jennifer Cato, Emily-Kei Brewerton and Shrinidi Vijay.
They took 1st place in the Hutt Valley Schools division and are the proud owners of the GNS Science Trophy. Excellent work girls and let’s get more women in Science.
