Chilton Sports Awards – Live Streamed

Date & Time: Tuesday November 23 – 1.45 – 3.15pm
Venue: Jubilee Centre

This is one of our pinnacle events on the Chilton calendar. Our time to recognize our girls who have had success in their chosen sports, or in many sports for some! We also recognize girls who have participated in a number of sports for Chilton, Cups for players of the year, Contribution to sport, Student Coach of the year and we announce our finalists for Middle School and Senior school Sportsperson and All-round Sportsperson of the year. Students and staff will only attend this awards ceremony with the event live-streamed for our community.

Let’s come together to celebrate Chilton Sport and our amazing girls.

Aerobics  – National Champs

This event almost didn’t happen!  Due to Covid the organisers pulled the pin on Monday 1^st November with the competition meant to happen the weekend of November  6&7.  Could have been an incredibly disappointing outcome with these girls training since end of January.  However it was quickly announced that an on-line competition would take place instead.  The girls routines would be filmed, judged by the judging panel and results announced just last Saturday.  Over 1000 competitors vie for a place to compete at Nationals with our Chilton Girls taking many of those spots.

I am pleased to say that Chilton took 2^nd place overall in the Top School category with many top 3 and top 10 spots taken.  Full results are:

• Intermediate Pre-choreographed team Sassy Sisters (Willa Velvin, Hebe Lin, Izzy Lewis) 7^th
• Secondary Pre-choreographed team Chilton Superstars (Lyra Chopra, Megan Richter) 8^th
• Intermediate Sport Aerobic Team Chilton All-Stars (Maia McLaughlan, Misia Hosie, Isla O’connor Williams) Gold – NZ Champs
• Senior FISAF Duo, Dynamic Duo (Lizzie Hewitt, Elle Kane) Gold, NZ Champs. Qualified to submit their video for the on-line World Champs.
• Misia Hosie – Intermediate Individual Silver
• Kaydi Zhang – Intermediate Individual 11^th
• Mia-Jean MacKay – Intermediate Individual 12th
• Myah Bere – Junior Open Individual Bronze
• Taylor Whiting – Junior Open Individual 5^th
• Mackenzie Tuffin – Senior Open Individual 8^th
• Lizzie Hewitt – Senior Open Individual 4^th
• Elle Kane – Senior FISAF Individual Bronze, Qualified to submit her video for the on-line World Champs
