Congratulations to Maddy Shaw, Chilton’s youngest up and coming netball umpire. Maddy has been attending the Junior Whistler Programme at Taita Netball Courts this season. She recently sat a written exam, scoring excellent results. Maddy is now taking the next step having official umpires shadow her games while she umpires, providing mentorship and leadership on her umpiring journey. Maddy, we are very proud of you and know that with your determination and love of the sport you will go far.

Being a typically action-packed traditional game Ki-o-Rahi relies on quick passing, alertness, game cunning, intelligence, team cohesion, inclusiveness, whanaungatanga and lots of movement. The Primary girls are loving trying this new sport in Friday fundamentals. Thanks John from Kōkiri Marae!
