Date & Time: Tuesday November 23 – 1.45 – 3.15pm
Venue: Jubilee Centre

This is one of our pinnacle events on the Chilton calendar. Our time to recognize our girls who have had success in their chosen sports, or in many sports for some! We also recognize girls who have participated in a number of sports for Chilton, Cups for players of the year, Contribution to sport, Student Coach of the year and we announce our finalists for Middle School and Senior school Sportsperson and All-round Sportsperson of the year. In the event of our Alert Level restrictions the event will be recorded and posted to the website. We will keep the community updated as we get closer to the date.

Darae Chung enjoyed some local success through the holidays winning the Manor Park Club Junior Open, Shandon Club Junior Open and Shandon Open 36 hole. Darae then went on to win the Wellington Matchplay last Sunday at Paraparaumu Golf Club. This is her 3rd consecutive year of winning this title. Unfortunately due to Covid all other National Tournaments have been cancelled. With only local tournaments though it has been lovely to see more of Darae at home. Good luck Darae to wherever next year takes you.
It is with sadness that we see all NZSS events and championships cancelled now till January. Given the uncertainty of Alert Levels at the moment it is to be expected… but there will be some very gutted athletes out there, especially the Year 13’s who would like to see their last year of sport go out with a bang.
Welcome back to a full term of fast pace, action packed sports in Primary School.
Our week is a busy one:
Monday: 40 x students involved in Tennis Club on the courts 3pm – 5pm
Tuesday: A keen group of 13 students taking part in the Cricket Club on the courts 3.30pm- 4.30pm

Thursday: 27x students learning Badminton skills in the JC and a Year 6 team playing in a new netball league at Taita Courts getting them prepared for Year 7 where they play 7 aside

Sport is thriving at Chilton!
If your daughter would like to join a term 4 sport please email adennehy@chilton.school.nz or look on Chilton Central under the sport tab for information.
There is a clash with the 2022 EOTC dates and the Weetbix Try-athlon event in the Hutt Valley but the alternative option is for those interested to attend the Wellington event.
